Special Events Committee

The Special Events Committee is responsible for planning and executing major events that are held annually with other commercial real estate organizations within our community. In April of every year we hold our annual Summit Awards event. This is a formal dinner and awards banquet. We award commercial real estate professionals including brokers, developers, contractors, and more for their outstanding accomplishments for the previous year. We also award a recipient with the Katie Morrison CREW Ambassador of the Year, which is awarded annually to a person who has made a great contribution in supporting the advancement of women in the highly competitive field of commercial real estate. The Summit Awards Committee also chooses a charity to donate partial proceeds to. Next in June, the Special Event Committee partners with Northern Nevada NAIOP for our annual charity golf tournament. The committee is responsible for all duties related to planning and executing the event which hosts 144 golfers, 18 hole sponsors, and many volunteers. Funds raised by the golf tournament benefit a charity chosen by the committee. In previous years, we have been able to donate $10,000 to our charities. Lastly, the Special Event Committee teams us with four other commercial real estate organization to host our annual Holiday Party. Again, partial proceeds go to a charity chosen by the committee for the event.
