Philanthropy
Our Community and Industry Impact
Per our CREW of Northern Nevada’s Bylaws, “The Philanthropic Committee shall identify, develop and coordinate opportunities for awarding scholarships and engaging in philanthropic activity.”
Our committee focuses on both external and internal philanthropy through the following activities:
Providing educational scholarships to TMCC
Giving to the local area’s Give Hope Foundation
Serving at the Food Bank of Northern Nevada
Partnering on clothing, furniture, and fund drives for such local groups as Dress for Success.
Providing convention scholarships to CREW members
Providing dues subsidies to CREW members who need assistance
Funds are raised through CREW’s Annual Golf tournament along with luncheon raffle prize receipts. The Philanthropic committee typically meets once per quarter with ideas also exchanged via e-mail. We are always open to new philanthropic ideas!
The Northern Nevada Chapter also looks for opportunities to serve our local community. Our partners for events and fundraising have included the Food Bank Of Northern Nevada, Dress for Success, The Give Hope Foundation and the Children’s Cabinet. Through contributions from our members and guests, we also fund several scholarships each year to Truckee Meadows Community College.

CREW Network Foundation
We are proud to support CREW Network Foundation, the only charitable foundation solely dedicated to advancing women in the commercial real estate industry. CREW Network Foundation is committed to bringing more women into commercial real estate by offering programs like CREW Careers and UCREW that educate women and girls about the career opportunities in the industry; supporting CRE higher education and training through college scholarships and internships; and providing mentorships to those new to the industry.
